How to treat a tumor? Modern methods of treatment. Removing swelling after a bruise at home Fighting cancer with folk remedies

Tumors represent the proliferation of cells of tissues and organs and are divided into benign or malignant.

Symptoms: At the beginning, the disease is asymptomatic, then different symptoms appear, depending on the quality of the tumor, location and stage of its development. Pain and discharge usually occur.

What's happening?Benign tumors They grow slowly, without growing into surrounding tissues, are surrounded by a capsule and, when removed surgically, do not relapse. Angiomas consist of blood and lymphatic vessels. These are vascular birthmarks and soft warts. Myomas grow predominantly in muscle tissue. Fibroids, including polyps, affect the skin, tendons, mucous membranes, muscles, periosteum and uterus.

Malignant tumors(cancer and sarcoma) are a pathological form of growth of cells and tissues of the body that have special biological properties. These tumors not only destroy the surrounding tissue by growing into it, but also have a general adverse effect on the body, releasing toxins into it and causing side diseases. They grow quickly and often reappear after surgical removal, which is only possible in the initial stages of the disease. Cells from these tumors are carried in the lymph and blood to other parts of the body, where they grow and form new tumor nodes, called metastases. As a rule, malignant tumors arise due to chronic diseases (ulcers, polyps, warts, birthmarks, other benign tumors), as well as untreated injuries.

What to do?

Cancer treatment is successful in the early stages, so it is very important to see a doctor in a timely manner!

Drink as much kefir and yogurt, carrot juice as possible;

Drink a decoction of viburnum berries and an infusion of calendula flowers;

Drink an infusion of potato flowers (infuse 2 tablespoons of potato flowers per glass of boiling water in a thermos for at least 3 hours) half a glass in the morning and evening half an hour before meals;

There are large quantities of onions.

In order to prevent the degeneration of a benign tumor into a malignant one, it is important to undergo periodic medical examinations, as well as promptly treat emerging diseases.

Neoplasms, which are excessive tissue growth due to distortion of normal cell growth and reproduction. The distinctive biological properties of tumor cells are the ability to reproduce for a long time and quickly, pushing away surrounding tissues and growing into them. When such cells are transported by blood and lymph currents to distant organs, they multiply there and produce growths, so-called metastases.

There are benign tumors (fibromas, fibroids, angiomas, etc.) and malignant (cancer, sarcoma and etc)

Benign tumors usually grow slowly; they do not grow into surrounding tissues and organs, but only push them apart and displace them. These tumors are surrounded by a capsule; they are usually easily removed surgically and do not metastasize.

Malignant tumors grow quickly, growing into neighboring tissues and organs, destroying them. Radically, through surgery, it is possible to remove these tumors only in the initial, unadvanced stages. Malignant tumor cells are transported by blood and lymph to other parts of the body and form metastases (new tumor nodes) there.

The development of cancer is always preceded by some chronic disease, on the basis of which it arises (ulcers, polyps, some benign tumors).

Modern medicine can offer three methods of treating cancer: chemotherapy, surgery, radiation.

Oncological diseases, radiation sickness

1. Tincture hemlock from cancer. Spotted hemlock, popularly called yoke, looks like elderberry, but has nothing in common with it. A fiercely poisonous and life-threatening plant. But it is a strong stimulator of the blood-forming organs, which allows it to be used for leukemia. It is also a strong pain reliever, which is important for cancer. Living cells of the body adapt well to it and, when taken in moderate doses, calmly tolerate its presence. But it is harmful to the diseased cells that make up the cancerous tumor. That is why it has gained fame and is considered a reliable remedy in critical and often hopeless situations.

Here is the method of using hemlock, proposed by a traditional healer Valery Tishchenko(the easiest, safest and, in his opinion, the most effective).

It is necessary to collect fresh hemlock inflorescences during flowering (early June). The crushed flowers should be placed in a bowl, filling it to the top. Also pour vodka into the dishes to the top (the volume of the dishes does not matter). Seal the container tightly and place it in a dark (cool) place for 18 days. After this period, the hood is ready for use.

Treatment method. In the morning on an empty stomach, an hour before meals, drink one drop of tincture with 1/2 glass of water. On the second day at the same time, drink 2 drops of the tincture - so increase the dose daily, bringing it to 40 drops. After this, you need to gradually reduce the dose by one drop daily and return to the original one drop again. Repeat this 2-3 times.

According to V. Tishchenko, the technique is very effective. There have been cases when hopeless people were completely cured of cancer (cancer of the breast, digestive canal, liver, and cancer in general in extremely severe forms is suppressed by hemlock).

Only strict adherence to the technique will help you gain health! Overdoses are unacceptable!

Naturopathic doctor at the St. Petersburg clinic “Folk Medicine” I. I. Nesterovsky makes recommendations By taking carcinobiostat and beet juice for the treatment of malignant tumors in the book “Home Medicine”.

1. Carcinobiostat is an alcohol tincture sophora japonica, stopping the growth of malignant tumors regardless of location. First take 20 drops over 20 minutes. before meals 3 times a day and wash down with 150 g of slightly warmed beet juice. Then, 1 drop per dose is added daily to carcinobiostat, gradually increasing to 50 drops. Subsequently, 50 drops are taken 3 times a day and washed down with 150 g of beet juice for 3 months - 1 course, the 2nd course is repeated after a month and is carried out in the same way. In total, treatment requires 3-4 courses. One lasts about four months.

2. Accept beet juice in the amount of 600 ml 3 times a day, 150 g With carcinobiostat and 150 at night. You can eat black bread, a roll, sauerkraut, etc., and wash down the drops with some other juice.

3. Never drink freshly squeezed juice - it contains volatile substances that act poisonously and cause nausea, vomiting, hiccups, general weakness, a drop in pulse and blood pressure, even to the point of shock. Before drinking, the juice should stand for 6 to 10 hours in the refrigerator. Taking fresh juice causes absolute intolerance to consuming it in the future.

4. In addition to taking the prescribed amount of beetroot juice with carcinobiostat, it is recommended to eat about 200 g of boiled beets per day for lunch and dinner as a side dish. It retains the substance acting against intoxication - anthocyanin betoin.

5. In the future, carry out treatment with beet juice for a long time without interruption.

Bladder tumor antigen in urine

Bladder tumor antigen (BTA) is not normally detected in urine.

Bladder cancer is the fourth most common cancer in men and ninth in women. One in five patients currently die from this disease within 5 years. Determination of BTA in urine is a screening method for diagnosing bladder cancer, as well as for dynamic monitoring of patients after surgical treatment. Ag is detected in 70-80% of patients with bladder cancer at stage T: -T 3 and in 58% with cancer in situ. With effective surgical treatment, BTA disappears in the urine; its appearance indicates a relapse of the disease. A test to detect tumor Ag of the bladder can be false-positive in case of glomerulonephritis, infections and injuries of the urinary tract, due to blood entering the urine. Currently, diagnostic test systems have been developed for the qualitative and quantitative determination of BTA in urine.

In addition to the BTA test, there are a number of nonspecific and specific markers for bladder cancer. These include growth factors, immune complexes, tumor-associated proteins, tumor marker B-5, AT M-344, NMP-22, determination of the concentration of PDF in urine, urine telomerase, Hb chemiluminescence in urine and a number of others.

Thyrotropin-secreting pituitary tumors

TSH-producing pituitary adenoma develops very rarely. A pituitary adenoma secretes excess amounts of TSH, which stimulates the thyroid gland. As a result, the concentration of cT 4, T 4, T 3 in the blood increases and symptoms of hyperthyroidism develop. The main signs of a thyrotropin-secreting pituitary tumor are a sharp increase in the concentration of TSH in the blood (50-100 times or more compared to normal) and the absence of a TSH response to TRH.

Introduction

Cancerous tumors are becoming quite common these days. This is due to a sharp deterioration in the environmental situation, an increase in stressful situations that weaken the immune system, and an increase in the level of solar and artificial radiation. The use of many chemicals in everyday life (for washing dishes, laundry, home repairs, etc.) in some cases can be a favorable factor for cancer.

Poor nutrition and consumption of carcinogenic foods also contribute to the development of the disease in modern humans. Genetic predisposition also plays an important role among the causes of cancer.

Nowadays, cancer remains a fatal disease that modern official medicine is unable to effectively treat. There are many cases where the disease ends in death. Sometimes the patient's life is extended by several weeks or months, but complete healing is not achieved.

Meanwhile, relatives and the patients themselves do not want to give up hope. They turn to traditional medicine recipes, which not only can help, but also do not cause severe side effects that weaken the body's immune system, such as chemotherapy.

An important factor in cancer treatment is the optimism of the patient himself. As long as he believes in the possibility of his own recovery and hopes for it, everything is possible for him.

1. The concept of cancerous tumors

Cancerous tumors are newly formed cells that multiply rapidly and push aside healthy cells or grow into them, causing destruction. Cancer cells can travel through the blood and lymph throughout the body, forming metastases in other parts of the body.

Cancerous tumors develop from the covering or glandular epithelium and can occur in all organs and tissues where there are epithelial elements. Most often, cancer affects the stomach, uterus, breast and skin.

Different organs are affected at different rates. In men, the digestive organs are most often affected (in more than 50% of cases). In second place in frequency are the respiratory organs, skin, lower lip, as well as the oral cavity and pharynx. Women most often suffer from uterine cancer. Cancer of the digestive organs, breast and skin also develops quite often.

The effectiveness of removing cancerous tumors is observed only in the early stages of the disease. However, even after removal there remains a danger of reappearance of tumors and the growth of metastases.

A malignant tumor begins with the appearance of one cell, which ceases to obey the body. It divides rapidly, and soon a large mass of cells or several small malignant neoplasms are formed.

Cancer is scary primarily because it is asymptomatic and is usually recognized in an advanced stage, when healing is almost impossible. In the early stages of detecting a cancerous tumor, there is hope for healing. It is advisable that the patient has not previously undergone radiotherapy or chemotherapy, as they have a detrimental effect on the immune system.

The support of loved ones is of great importance for the patient, since a depressed state weakens the immune system. In this case, even the patient’s faith in his healing is of great importance and can contribute to recovery, of course, with the use of various means of treatment.

Cancer has 4 stages. At stage I, the tumor is small and mobile. At stage II, it begins to grow into a tissue or organ, disrupting its normal functioning. At the same time, individual metastases begin to appear in the lymph nodes. At stage III of development, the tumor grows into neighboring tissues and becomes inactive. At this time, metastases appear in the regional lymph nodes. Rapid tumor growth is accompanied by necrosis and ulceration, resulting in frequent bleeding. Individual metastases appear. At stage IV of the disease, the patient’s general condition sharply worsens, and exhaustion of the body is observed - cancer cachexia.

The following are used as treatment in medical practice:

– at stages I and II of the disease – surgical intervention;

– at stage III – surgery in combination with other types of therapy (radiation, chemical, hormonal, etc.);

– at stage IV, palliative operations are performed and symptomatic treatment is carried out.

Lungs' cancer

In the initial stages of development, the disease is asymptomatic. The first sign of the disease is a dry cough, first in the morning and then at night. As the disease progresses, a large amount of mucous sputum begins to be released when coughing. In some cases, chest pain appears, which becomes more severe when coughing. In addition, the patient experiences shortness of breath, body temperature is slightly elevated, and there are cases of hemoptysis.

The lungs are the most common site of malignant tumors, especially in people over 40 years of age. Early forms of lung cancer can only be detected by X-ray examination. Therefore, it is very important to undergo fluorographic examination regularly, especially for smokers and older people.

The main factor predisposing to lung cancer is smoking. Smoking more than two packs of cigarettes per day increases the risk of lung cancer by 25-125 times. Other risk factors include working in asbestos production and exposure to radiation.

There are central lung cancer, which grows from the bronchus, and peripheral, affecting the tissue of the lung itself. A malignant tumor metastasizes to the lymph nodes of the root of the lung, and at later stages of development is transferred to distant tissues and organs - such as the liver, supraclavicular lymph nodes, brain, etc.

Lung cancer is recognized by bronchoscopy with a biopsy of tumor tissue, as well as on the basis of cytological and histological examination.

Skin cancer

This disease most often affects older people, both men and women. A cancerous tumor can appear on the site of scars, non-healing ulcers, fistulas, etc. Sometimes warts and birthmarks degenerate into cancerous tumors.

Skin cancer develops in various layers of the epidermis. There are 2 forms of the disease: flat superficial basal cell carcinoma (basocellular epithelioma) and squamous cell skin cancer.

Epitheliomas are all cellular (epithelial) tumors of the skin.

Basilioma mainly affects older people. Cancer affects the skin on the face, especially around the mouth. First, a dense nodule appears, then a group of nodules or a plaque of pearlescent color and dense consistency. This formation grows over many months or even years, reaching the size of a 1-2 kopeck coin. Gradually, erosion or a small ulcer forms at the site of the nodule or plaque. It is covered with a thin, dense scaly crust of a yellowish-gray color with nodules along the edges. As the disease progresses, an ulcer with dense edges and a red bottom forms on the skin. It gradually increases in size due to the appearance of more and more bubbles along the edges.

If a scar on the skin does not go away for a long time, and also has a tendency to thicken and ulcerate, you should immediately consult a doctor and undergo an examination. Such a lesion can subsequently degenerate into a malignant tumor.

Squamous cell carcinoma affects the skin on the torso, although it can also appear on other parts of the body, such as the limbs, face, neck, scalp, external genitalia, and even mucous membranes. Often this form of cancer develops on the lower lip in men aged 40 to 50 years.

With squamous cell carcinoma, a plaque forms on the skin, covered with pink scales, with a rim of yellowish or pinkish nodules along the edges, which rises above the surface of the skin. Over time, an ulcer forms with an easy-to-bleed bottom and raised, hard edges. It gradually increases in size due to the formation of new bubbles along the edges.

If the disease is detected in a timely manner and treatment is started, regression with complete restoration of the skin is possible. But usually the tumor grows too quickly and metastasizes to regional lymph nodes. Squamous cell carcinoma is highly malignant.

Skin cancer treatment is carried out in oncology clinics. Basaliomas are usually removed by diathermocoagulation or cryodestruction. In some cases, antitumor ointments (for example, colchamine) are used. For squamous cell carcinoma, surgical or electrosurgical excision, as well as radiation and laser therapy, are used.

In addition to these tumors, there are also melanoma and sarcoma.

Melanoma is a malignant tumor into which congenital or acquired pigment spots degenerate. Most often it appears in middle-aged and old women, especially blond women with fair skin and blue eyes.

Melanoma mainly appears on the extremities, head or neck. It develops from pigment-producing cells. The development of melanoma from moles or age spots can occur as a result of trauma, cauterization, cuts and various skin irritations.

In case of injury, the malignancy of melanoma increases sharply.

The main sign of melanoma is an increase or decrease in the pigmentation of the mole, an increase in its size, ulceration, and the appearance of a spot around the tumor. Over time, the tumor begins to disseminate, spreading to adjacent areas of the skin in the form of satellite nodules. Gradually it reaches regional lymph nodes and metastasizes to internal organs.

To detect melanoma, a radiometric method is used, which is based on the ability of melanoma to accumulate radioactive phosphorus.

Kaposi's sarcoma (angioreticulosis) is a hemorrhagic sarcoma. It occurs in approximately 30% of cases in AIDS patients. The tumor begins with the appearance of purple spots on the skin of the extremities. Then, at the site of the spots, dense nodules with a diameter of up to 2 cm are formed. They are round in shape and bluish-red or brown-red in color. As the disease progresses, the nodules merge into lumpy lesions and ulcerate.

In patients with AIDS, Kaposi's sarcoma is very aggressive, spreading to the lymph nodes, mucous membranes and internal organs. It is malignant in nature.

Lip cancer

Most lip cancer occurs in men. Most often, this disease affects the lower lip. A tumor can appear in places where various damage is localized - cracks, ulcers, etc. If they do not heal for a long time, there is cause for concern. Sometimes ulcers become covered with crusts before turning into a cancerous tumor, and this gives the patient reason to think that they are healing. However, after the scabs fall off, the ulcers continue to grow and gradually harden.

At the same time, an infiltrate appears, which quickly increases, which is why the lip increases in size and becomes inactive.

Over time, the tumor begins to metastasize to the lower jaw bone. Cancer cells along with lymph spread to the mental and submandibular lymph nodes. These nodes also increase in size over time and become inactive.

Further progression of the disease leads to the appearance of malignant foci in the lymph nodes and various organs.

To prevent lip cancer, if you have a non-healing crack on the lip or a tumor formation, you should immediately contact a dental surgeon or oncologist.

Tongue cancer

The tumor usually occurs on the lateral surfaces of the tongue or at its tip. These areas are usually the most subject to mechanical irritation, especially from the sharp edges of decayed teeth or those that stand alone, outside the arch, protruding towards the tongue.

The first sign of tongue cancer is the proliferation of the epithelium of the mucous membrane of the tongue. Very often doctors mistake it for papilloma - a benign tumor. However, with malignancy, the tumor continues to be injured by talking and eating, which leads to its ulceration.

Gradually, the cancer spreads to the floor of the mouth and jaw. Abundant microflora leads to a constant inflammatory process, as a result of which the disease is even more severe. Sometimes inflammation “blurs” the true picture of the disease.

If the above symptoms are detected, you must urgently contact a dental surgeon or oncologist.

Mammary cancer

This disease is characterized by the formation of a painless, solid tumor in the mammary gland. It can be discovered by the woman herself. In this case, it is necessary to undergo an urgent examination.

To detect the disease in the early stages, every woman should regularly visit a gynecologist, who can identify such a lump. However, the woman herself should examine herself as often as possible, carefully palpating the mammary glands.

Breast cancer is the most common of all malignant neoplasms in women. It can occur at any age. However, it most often occurs between the ages of 45 and 65. It is very rare in men and children.

Most often, breast cancer occurs against the background of mammary dysplasia and ductal papilloma.

Women who have relatives with this disease are at increased risk of developing breast cancer. The risk increases 5 times in the premenopausal period.

The development of breast cancer very often depends on estrogens (female sex hormones) and much less often on progesterone (male sex hormone). This hormonal connection is explained by the presence of receptors for estrogen and progesterone on the membrane of the epithelial cells lining the ducts of the mammary gland.

The development of a cancerous tumor in one of the mammary glands after some time can lead to the appearance of a tumor in the second breast.

Without treatment, the tumor grows very quickly in size, then begins to grow into the skin, muscles and chest wall. Cancer cells travel through lymphatic vessels to the nearest lymph nodes. Then, through the bloodstream, they spread throughout the body, giving metastases. Most often, breast cancer metastasizes to the lungs, liver, bones, and brain. Damage to these organs, as well as tumor disintegration, lead to death.

Vulvar cancer

This is a malignant tumor growing on the surface of the organ and in depth. Very soon it affects the inguinal lymph nodes. It begins with itching and burning in the vulva area. Then pain occurs, and as the tumor disintegrates, purulent bleeding appears.

Vaginal cancer

This disease occurs on its own very rarely. As a rule, women get it during menopause or menopause. A dense infiltrate appears on the vaginal wall, which begins to ulcerate very quickly.

The main symptom of vaginal cancer is purulent-bloody leucorrhoea. Pain appears only at stage II of the disease. Subsequently, compression of the vagina occurs, urination is impaired, and intoxication is possible.

Cervical cancer

This disease is the most common malignant tumor disease of the female genital organs. At the initial stage, cancer affects only the cervix and does not manifest itself in any way. Stage I is characterized by the discharge of serous or serous-bloody leucorrhoea. They intensify after sexual intercourse, defecation and during vaginal examination.

To prevent cervical cancer, identification and timely treatment of pathological conditions of the cervix from which cancer can develop is carried out: cervical erosion, scar changes, endocervicitis.

At stages II and III, cancer begins to spread to the vagina, uterus and parametrial tissue. Purulent-bloody leucorrhoea with a putrid odor appears. Pain occurs in the lower abdomen and lumbar region. The general condition worsens.

At stage IV, the cancer tumor grows into the bladder, rectum, bones, and gives metastases to distant organs - lungs, liver, etc. Intoxication occurs. The functioning of the bladder and rectum is disrupted, and sudden weight loss occurs.

Uterine cancer

Factors predisposing to uterine cancer can be other chronic diseases, such as erosion, polyps, etc. In addition, the cause of cancer can be unrepaired damage to the uterus during childbirth and abortion.

The tumor affects the lining of the uterus (endometrium) in the form of diffusions or individual polypous growths. As cancer develops, it grows into the body of the uterus and spreads to the appendages and peritoneum. Some metastases appear very late. The disease progresses very slowly. The main symptoms are serous-bloody or purulent-bloody fetid leucorrhoea or acyclic bleeding in older women, as well as bleeding during menopause.

When the described symptoms appear, it is necessary to perform curettage of the uterine cavity and conduct a histological examination of the scraping. Based on this, a final diagnosis is made.

Symptoms of uterine cancer appear too late, at a stage when treatment is no longer effective. Therefore, for preventive purposes, all women are recommended to undergo regular examinations by a gynecologist.

Ovarian cancer

This disease is asymptomatic in the initial stages. However, as the disease progresses, the abdomen begins to enlarge and fluid accumulates in the abdominal cavity. The tumor can be felt upon palpation.

In the last stages of the disease, pain, intoxication occur, the functions of the bladder and intestines are disrupted, and exhaustion is observed.

Esophageal carcinoma

In the initial stages, this disease is often asymptomatic and is detected only when swallowing function is impaired. At first, it becomes difficult for a person to swallow rough food, then as the tumor grows, the lumen of the esophagus narrows more and more, which causes difficulty in the passage of even liquid food. In this case, the patient may feel pain behind the sternum and in the epigastric region.

Stomach cancer

This is one of the most common malignant tumors. The cause of this disease can be long-term gastric ulcer, polyps, some forms of chronic gastritis, etc.

Symptoms in the initial stages of the disease are very poorly expressed. There is a slight loss of strength and weight loss, and the skin turns pale. Over time, the patient develops an aversion to meat food, loses appetite, and vomits. Painful sensations appear only in the later stages of the disease.

Cancer does not occur in a completely healthy stomach. The disease is preceded by a certain precancerous condition, caused by a change in the properties of the cells lining the stomach. Such conditions include chronic gastritis with low acidity, ulcers and polyps, intestinal metaplasia, and severe dysplasia. The development of cancer from a precancerous state takes on average 10 to 20 years.

The tumor at the initial stage measures no more than 2 cm. Then it begins to increase in size, and also grow in depth, growing into the walls of the stomach, and in breadth, spreading over the surface of the stomach. Growing into the wall of the stomach, the tumor affects the colon and pancreas.

According to statistics, stomach cancer ranks first in terms of detection frequency in countries such as Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries, as well as in the Scandinavian countries. At the same time, in Japan, the USA, France, England, Spain and Israel there is a trend towards a noticeable decrease in the incidence of stomach cancer.

A peculiarity of stomach cancer is that it gives a large number of metastases in the early stages. However, they most often spread to the lymph nodes and liver. Sometimes the ovaries, fatty tissue, lungs, skin and bones are affected.

Most often, stomach cancer takes the form of an ulcer with bumpy edges. In addition, there is diffuse cancer and very rarely - in the form of a node (plaque, polyposis, mushroom).

When a cancerous tumor appears, digestion is disrupted. If it is located close to the esophagus, there will be an obstacle to food entering the stomach. Due to malnutrition, a person quickly loses weight.

While the tumor is small, the disease is asymptomatic. Only in some cases are changes in food preferences noted, for example, an aversion to meat, fish, etc. appears.

As the tumor grows, other symptoms appear: a feeling of heaviness in the abdomen after eating, nausea, vomiting, abnormal bowel movements, abdominal pain, an increase in the size of the abdomen, accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity, severe weight loss, bleeding (when the tumor destroys blood vessels).

Cancer can have complications. The most severe of them include:

– exhaustion;

– chronic or general acute anemia;

– peritonitis;

– phlegmon of the stomach;

– gastric and intestinal obstruction;

– obstructive jaundice, etc.

Bowel cancer

This is a malignant tumor that forms in the mucous membrane of the wall of the large intestine. Most often it affects the rectum, less often the sigmoid, cecum, as well as the hepatic and splenic angles of the transverse colon.

Colon cancer usually develops from precancerous conditions. These include the following diseases:

– adenomas;

– villous tumor;

– intestinal polyposis;

– chronic ulcerative colitis;

– chronic rectal fistulas. The disease also develops against the background of chronic diseases and constipation. The tumor first fills the intestinal lumen, causing intestinal obstruction. Then it begins to grow into the intestinal wall, destroying its vessels and causing intestinal bleeding.

In the later stages of development, the tumor spreads to surrounding organs, along with the lymph flow it enters the lymph nodes and affects them. Then, cancer cells are spread throughout the body with the blood, which, entering other organs, infect them, forming new tumors there.

Most often, colon cancer occurs in older people. Every year there are more and more patients with this disease, especially in developed countries where the standard of living is quite high.

Colon cancer metastasizes to the pararectal and pelvic lymph nodes, after which it spreads to the mesenteric lymph nodes, and in women, to both ovaries. Hematogenous colon cancer can metastasize to the liver and lungs, bones and brain.

To detect colon cancer in the early stages after 40 years of age, you need to undergo a preventive examination with a doctor every 3 years.

Symptoms of colon cancer appear only when the tumor reaches a large size. This causes abdominal pain, constipation, bloating and rumbling in the abdomen, and bloody discharge in the stool. Appetite worsens, pallor appears, the patient loses a lot of weight, feels weak and tired. An increase in body temperature is often noted.

To prevent colon cancer, it is necessary to undergo regular examinations by a gastroenterologist, including, among other things, stool testing for occult blood. In addition, it is necessary to include more vegetables and fruits in your diet, avoid constipation and promptly treat inflammatory diseases of the colon (colitis). Polyps must be removed to prevent them from degenerating into cancer.

Rectal cancer

This disease most often develops against the background of polyps in the rectum. The main symptom of the disease is bleeding from the rectum. However, this is a late symptom.

It appears when the tumor has already developed and begins to disintegrate.

Cancerous bleeding is often mistaken for hemorrhoidal bleeding, which causes the disease to worsen.

The tumor does not spread very quickly. At first it grows for a long time around the circumference of the intestine, up and down. It takes at least 2 years for the rectum to be completely damaged by a cancerous tumor. Only after this does it begin to grow into the intestinal wall, fiber and pelvic bones, as well as neighboring organs. At the same time, the tumor begins to metastasize, which spread through the blood and lymph, reaching the liver, lungs and nearby lymph nodes.

In addition to bleeding, rectal cancer may cause mucous and purulent discharge from the anus. There is a disturbance in stool, unpleasant sensations appear, sometimes pain in the rectal area, pain during bowel movements, as well as false urges. However, all these symptoms do not necessarily indicate cancer. They may indicate hemorrhoids or proctitis (inflammation of the rectum).

To diagnose rectal cancer, you should consult a proctologist.

Causes of cancerous tumors

A malignant tumor can develop from a benign one. In addition, cancer is often the result of some chronic disease, such as ulcers, polyps, etc. Sometimes it also occurs against the background of a long-term inflammatory disease or infection. Hereditary predisposition may have a certain role in the development of cancer.

Dietary habits can lead to colorectal cancer - consuming large amounts of animal fats, high-calorie and easily digestible foods, which slow down the movement of its contents through the intestines. As a result, tumor-causing substances in food or produced by bacteria in the intestines spend too long on the rectal wall.

The occurrence of colon cancer is facilitated by the nature of the diet (eating meat, fatty and flour dishes, lack of plant foods), stool disorders, as well as diseases of the colon - such as colitis and polyps.

The main cause of stomach and esophageal cancer is eating foods containing nitrites. These substances are converted into nitrosamines in the stomach, the direct local action of which causes the occurrence of cancer of the stomach and esophagus. In addition, the development of the disease is promoted by eating smoked meats, as well as salty and fatty foods.

2. Traditional methods of treating cancer

Traditional medicine uses various means to treat many diseases, including malignant tumors. Plants, minerals, and insects are used as ingredients for medicines. Many peoples use massage and physical exercises, various systems of cleansing the body as treatment.

Herbal treatment

This method of therapy is the most common. Plants are widely used in folk medicine. Decoctions, infusions and tinctures, healing ointments and balms are prepared from them and are often used in spells. People used specific plants against cancerous tumors that were capable of destroying malignant cells, such as cinquefoil, gooseberry, wormwood, tansy, etc. In addition, plants that normalize metabolism and remove metabolic products of tumor cells from the affected organs are used to treat cancer.

In addition to these remedies, depending on the symptoms, diuretics, expectorants, laxatives, restoratives, as well as herbs with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects, such as plantain, chamomile, mint, yarrow, etc., are used.

Celandine

Celandine is often called Russian ginseng, since in its healing properties it is close to this plant. Celandine preparations are sometimes called the elixir of life.

Decoction of celandine

Ingredients: 1 tsp. celandine herbs. Cooking method: celandine grass is poured with 200 ml of boiling water and infused for 30 minutes, then filtered.

Application: take 1/3 cup 3 times a day before meals for stomach cancer.

If you have cancer, it is very beneficial to eat fresh carrots and drink carrot juice. It can also be used for compresses. To do this, grate the carrots and apply it thickly to the place where the tumor develops. A bandage is applied over the compress, which must be changed 2-3 times a day for a fresh one. Such a compress can delay tumor growth.

Decoction of celandine and chamomile

Ingredients: 2 tbsp. l. celandine, 1 tbsp. l. chamomile flowers.

Cooking method: Celandine and chamomile flowers are poured into 400 ml of boiled water and infused for 2 hours, after which they are boiled for 10-15 minutes, filtered and cooled.

Application: for skin cancer, wash the affected areas with a decoction 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 21 days. You can take a week's break, after which the therapy is repeated.

Compress from celandine decoction

Ingredients: 5 tbsp. l. celandine herbs.

Cooking method: celandine herb is poured into 800 ml of water and infused for 1-2 hours, then boiled over low heat for 15 minutes and filtered.

Application: moisten gauze in the broth, wring it out lightly and apply it to the cancer-affected area of the skin for 10-15 minutes. A warming bandage is applied on top. The procedure is carried out 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 14 days.

All tinctures are diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 3 before use.

From the 10th day, the dosage regimen is repeated. The duration of the full course of treatment is 3 months.

For pronounced external tumors, they should first be rubbed in the morning with Sophora tincture 3 times with an interval of 3 minutes, then after 30 minutes, make a compress with infusion of bergenia for 1 hour. At lunch, repeat rubbing with Sophora tincture (3 times after 3 minutes). The course of treatment is 3 months.

For uterine cancer, in addition to the described treatment regimen, douching with infusion of bergenia is carried out. In addition, it is recommended to insert tampons moistened with grounds from the same infusion into the vagina.

Sulimov's method

1 glass of celandine is poured with 250 ml of vodka.

50 g of elecampane root and an incomplete glass of crushed birch bark (not birch bark!) are poured into 250 ml of vodka.

1 cup of woodlice grass and 1 cup of dry leek (wheatgrass) roots are poured into 250 ml of vodka.

2 glasses of crushed walnut shells and partitions are poured with 250 ml of vodka.

1 glass of calendula flowers is poured with 250 ml of vodka.

3 tbsp. l. with the top of dandelion root, chopped burdock root and shepherd's purse pour 250 ml of vodka.

All six mixtures are infused in a dark place at room temperature for 3 weeks. The finished tinctures are filtered, the raw materials are squeezed out and poured into a 2-liter plastic bottle. Add 500 ml of unrefined sunflower oil and place in a dark place for another 1 week. Shake the bottle 4-5 times daily.

Take the medicine 50 ml 2 times a day 1 hour before meals. The course of treatment is 10 days. The medicine should be shaken before taking.

Method of using ASD-2 according to Tishchenko

This technique is based on the use of hemlock and the drug ASD-2 (Dorogov's drug), which some doctors use to treat lung cancer. V.V. Tishchenko slightly modified the reception technique.

Table of drug intake

The medications should be taken 4 times a day, 1 hour before meals, with 50-100 ml of water. The drugs are dripped into the water.

When carrying out treatment using this method, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the dosage of drugs. Overdose is unacceptable, since the drugs are very toxic, especially hemlock.

When treating lung cancer, it is also advisable to use pine pollen. It can be purchased at markets. The pollen is sifted and mixed with honey in a ratio of 1: 1. Take 1 dess. l. 15 minutes before meals or 1 hour after meals.

The drug ASD-2 is considered veterinary and is used as an immunostimulant.

While taking ASD-2, you should limit your consumption of milk and kefir. You can drink them at night in small quantities. Tea and coffee are completely excluded from the diet.

K. Nishi's technique

According to the provisions of the Nishi health system, cancer in the human body can be caused by the following reasons:

– accumulation of carbon monoxide;

– lack of ascorbic acid (vitamin C);

– slagging of the body.

Carbon monoxide accumulation

Carbon monoxide accumulates in the body due to lack of oxygen, which prevents waste from being completely burned. It is the waste that contributes to the accumulation of carbon monoxide.

Another cause of carbon monoxide accumulation and cancer is constipation.

A patient suffering from diarrhea should drink hard water daily.

The cause of constipation, according to the teachings of Nishi, is the weakening of the 5th thoracic vertebra, due to which the outlet from the stomach into the intestines expands and the acidic gastric environment pours into the intestines, suppressing the alkali. As a result, bowel function is weakened and constipation occurs, which in turn leads to the accumulation of carbon monoxide and the development of cancer.

The location of the tumor depends on the location of fecal stones in the large intestine. For example, if feces accumulate in the intestines near the liver, a cancerous tumor may appear in the larynx on the right; when they accumulate near the appendix, cancer will appear in the area of the pylorus of the stomach. If a person suffering from chronic diarrhea suddenly recovers from this disease, there is a danger of developing a cancerous tumor in the rectum.

According to Nisha's theory, it is ideal to have regular bowel movements once a day and a tendency to have diarrhea every 6 months.

Another cause of cancer, according to Nishi, is a lack of renin in the cell membrane. With age, this membrane wears out, which leads to the occurrence of certain diseases, including cancer. Thus, most middle-aged and elderly people develop brown pigment spots on their skin. This is a sign of a lack of cells with a normal renin sheath or a symptom of carbon monoxide production.

Carbon monoxide is also formed due to a lack of magnesium in the body. This can also trigger the development of cancer. Magnesium prevents and treats cancer.

According to Nishi, who has studied the relationship between cancer development and magnesium levels in the body for many years, daily intake of a weak solution of magnesium (about 1.21%) can cure cancer.

Magnesium is sold in the USA under the name "magnesium milk" and in England under the name "magnesium cream".

Magnesium helps to establish regular bowel movements, and in addition, cures chronic diarrhea. According to Nisha, constipation and magnesium are linked, and there is no other way to get rid of old feces other than fasting and a magnesium diet.

Excessive consumption of sugar and alcoholic beverages also increases the formation of carbon monoxide. Refined sugar, as well as products containing salt, canned food, starch, white wheat flour, canned soups, smoked foods, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and various stimulants can cause cell degeneration.

Vitamin C deficiency

The human body does not synthesize vitamin C, as it does in animals. Therefore, he must receive this important element in sufficient quantities from food.

Lack of vitamin C inevitably causes subcutaneous hemorrhages, and when any stimulating factor is added to this, cancer may well occur.

To enrich your diet with vitamin C, you need to include more raw food in it - salads or freshly squeezed juices.

However, it should be remembered that an overdose of vitamin C can have a bad effect on the kidneys.

Slagging of the body

The body can become polluted due to poor nutrition, stress, constant presence in poorly ventilated areas, the smog that we breathe while in the city, low mobility, poor cleansing of the body, improper breathing, etc. All this leads to contamination of the cells of our body, blood vessels begin to poorly supply the organs with blood, oxygen and nutrients. All this leads to various diseases, including cancer.

For the prevention and treatment of cancer, the Nishi health system offers three main directions:

– removal of carbon monoxide from the body;

– providing the body with vitamin C;

– regeneration of blood vessels and cleansing of the body at the cellular level.

To implement this program, it is necessary to ensure the restoration of skin function, evacuation of toxins from the inner lining of the intestines, treatment for constipation, restoration of normal blood and lymph circulation, cleansing of all fluids in the body and restoration of straight posture.

To remove carbon monoxide, the Nishi health system offers nude therapy (or air baths). The course of therapy is 6-11 sessions. Such treatment should lead to the fact that all toxins, including uric acid, come out through the skin, and oxygen and nitrogen come back through the skin from the air. Oxygen converts carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide. Thus, the fluids in the body will be cleansed.

To cleanse the body of toxins, Nishi’s method offers contrasting water procedures. To remove toxins from the inner walls of the intestines and treat constipation, therapeutic fasting is recommended.

In case of cancer, the patient needs to drink up to 2-3 liters of liquids and eat easily digestible (acid-forming) foods: rice, fish, chicken meat along with vegetables. In this case, there should be 3 times less cooked food than raw food.

In addition, the body needs to be supplied with mineral salts.

It is also necessary to pay attention to the condition of the pelvic organs. For this, exercises according to the Nishi health system are recommended:

The following methods of treating neoplasms exist:

Surgical;

Ray;

Medicinal (chemotherapy).

The last two treatment methods can be combined into the concept of “conservative therapy”.

Benign tumors undergo mainly surgical treatment, the principle of which is the complete removal of the tumor node with the membrane covering it (excochleation, enucleation).

The difficulties of surgical technique when removing such tumors are mainly related to localization. For example, it is not easy to remove an adenoma of the parotid salivary gland due to the proximity of the facial nerve, a congenital lateral neck cyst due to its intimate connection with the neurovascular bundle of the neck, etc. Some benign neoplasms can be cured with radiation (eyelid hemengiomas). Some features of the treatment of benign tumors associated with their biological uniqueness will be discussed in detail in the section on private oncology.

Treatment of malignant tumors Despite the known progress in identifying early forms and improving treatment methods, it is a complex and not always solvable problem. Long-term results of treatment for this category of patients are generally unsatisfactory. This situation is determined primarily by the biological characteristics and patterns of growth of a malignant tumor: the ability for uncontrolled, relatively autonomous, infiltrating growth and metastasis to almost any tissue of the body, where tumor cells become sources of new foci of tumor growth. It is these properties of malignant tumors that determine the objectives of antitumor therapy - the desire to completely remove the primary lesion within the boundaries of healthy tissue, eliminate metastases, and suppress the possibility of resumption of tumor growth.

There is no doubt that treating cancer patients according to average canonized regimens, no matter how modern they may be, is a gross mistake that reduces the chances of a lasting recovery. The variety of forms of malignant neoplasms and the different reactivity of the body dictate the need for an individual approach in choosing a treatment method.

The treatment method depends on the local and general criteria of the disease.

Local criteria include: localization and anatomical and physiological disorders in the organ affected by the tumor, stage of the tumor process, the presence of regional and distant metastases, clinical type of tumor growth, histological structure and degree of tumor anaplasia.

General criteria for the disease include: the state of general and antitumor immunity, the patient’s age, the nature of concomitant diseases, the functional state of vital organs. Often it is advanced age, the presence of severe concomitant diseases, and not the prevalence of a malignant tumor that makes a radical cure of the patient impossible. The purely psychological factor cannot be discounted. Some patients categorically refuse radical surgery, especially if it is associated with cosmetic and functional defects.

Surgical method

Surgical method for treating malignant tumors is the most ancient. Until now, it is one of the main methods of treatment. Cancer surgery is based on two principles, the ideal implementation of which could ensure complete cure of patients only by surgical method. We are talking about Ablastika And anti-blastic. In the surgery of malignant tumors, ablastics is understood as a method of surgery in which all tumor (domineering) cells within healthy tissue are removed. At the present stage, ablastic surgery is possible in 100% only for cancer in situ, in 80% for malignant tumors corresponding in prevalence to T1-2, N0, M0. With greater prevalence, this percentage decreases.

The level of ablastics during surgical interventions can be increased by using special zonal and sheath operating techniques. From the point of view of an oncologist, an anatomical zone is a tissue area formed by an organ affected by a tumor and its regional lymphatic vessels and nodes, as well as other anatomical structures lying on the path of spread of the tumor process. The external boundaries of the anatomical zone are determined by the relevant organs. For example, for cancer of the mucous membrane of the floor of the mouth, corresponding to T 2 N 1 M 0, the anatomical zone in which surgical intervention will be performed is the area limited by the lower jaw, the base of the tongue, the anterior edges of the sternocleidomastoid muscles and the level of the bifurcation of the common carotid artery. Fiber, fascia, lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels, mucous membrane, muscles affected by the tumor within the specified limits, i.e. within the boundaries of the corresponding anatomical zone must be removed. If necessary, a fragment of the jaw and tongue is included in the block of tissue removed.

Anatomical case of surgical interventions- operated within the anatomical fascial sheaths that limit the spread of the tumor. To navigate the anatomical cases, the surgeon must clearly understand the pathways of regional lymphatic drainage from a specific organ or area affected by the tumor, and know the structure of certain case zones (for example, the fascia of the neck). Violation of the boundaries of the anatomical cases reduces the effectiveness of surgical intervention, because is fraught with tumor recurrence. The application of the principles of zonality and sheathing is described in detail in the relevant sections of private oncology (for example, “Surgical treatment of regional metastases”).

Antiblastics- measures aimed at destroying the remaining cells of a malignant tumor in the wound. During operations on patients with a malignant tumor that has spread beyond the main focus (T, 3), the presence of cancer cells in the lymphatic and venous vessels, on the surface of tissues near the affected lesion or metastasis cannot be excluded. In this regard, in addition to ablastic measures, it is also necessary to take antiblastic measures, i.e. try to reduce the dispersion of tumor cells in the wound, neutralize them. The following measures serve this purpose: early and thorough ligation of venous vessels, including small ones, draining blood from the tumor; covering the affected organ with gauze, frequently changing instruments and gloves; use of electric knife and electrocoagulation; disposable use of napkins. Chemical agents that can be recommended are acetone, ethyl alcohol, mercuric chloride, ether; chemotherapy drugs with cytostatic effects are ineffective. Preoperative irradiation is of great importance, reducing the biological activity and viability of tumor cells.

The following surgical interventions for malignant tumors are distinguished:

1. Radical operations- these are operations that satisfy the principles of ablastics and antiblastics;

2.Palliative and symptomatic operations, which do not satisfy the principles of ablastics and antiblastics.

Radical operations include conventional operations in which the primary tumor and the areas of regional metastasis closest to it are removed. If the volume of the operation is increased due to the removal of other groups of lymph nodes that are not in close proximity to the tumor (supraclavicular lymph nodes for cancer of the lower jaw), then they speak of an extended operation. If not only the affected organ is removed, but also part of another organ (a branch of the lower jaw in case of adenocarcinoma of the parotid salivary gland), then we are talking about a combined operation. Modern anesthesia makes it possible to perform so-called super-radical operations, an example of which is extirpation of the tongue, tissues of the floor of the mouth, resection of the lower jaw and removal of the regional lymphatic system.

A very important principle when performing radical operations in cancer patients is the removal of tissue within the appropriate boundaries within one block. It is impossible, for example, to remove a metastatic node using the enucleation method, because this would be a violation of all the rules of ablastics and antiblastics. To remove metastases, there are well-established principles and schemes for lymphadenectomy, when the node is removed en bloc with surrounding tissue, fascia, and, if necessary, muscles and vessels. The degree of ablasticity of the intervention increases if it is possible to simultaneously remove the primary tumor and the regional lymphatic system in a single block (for example, fascial sheath excision + resection of the lower jaw).

Palliative operations are aimed at eliminating complications caused by the primary tumor in the presence of distant metastases or inoperable regional metastases in patients. In this case, the patient can be operated on at the primary site, supplementing the effect with postoperative radiation or chemotherapy.

Symptomatic operations are aimed at eliminating a life-threatening symptom of a patient with an advanced tumor process. An example would be: ligation of the external carotid artery in case of threatened or repeated bleeding from a disintegrating tumor; tracheostomy in case of threat of asphyxia due to cancer of the root of the tongue; placement of a gastrostomy when it is impossible to eat food by mouth.

Special surgical techniques

In oncology, methods such as cryodestruction, laser surgery.

The cryosurgical method is based on the destruction of the pathological focus by freezing. The destruction of cells in this case is due to their dehydration in the process of formation of cellular ice and damage to cellular structures by ice crystals, cessation of blood circulation in frozen tissue. The method has been used in oncology since the 70s.

The advantages of the method are as follows:

Possibility of complete destruction of tumor tissue;

Relative painlessness of the intervention;

Minimal perifocal reaction;

Hemostatic effect of freezing;

Possibility of restoring normal blood flow due to resistance of large vessels;

Good cosmetic effect due to the absence of rough scars;

Activation of immunoprotective factors, which inhibits further tumor development.

Disadvantages of the cryosurgical method:

One-time freezing does not always lead to the destruction of the entire tumor mass, so repeated exposures are required;

It is not possible to radically eliminate the tumor near large vessels, because It is impossible to achieve the optimal temperature in tissues - 18-20 ° C, at which tumor cells die. The remaining cells serve as a source of relapse;

There are still no instruments for objectively recording the depth of tissue freezing.

Currently used devices are divided into two types: cryo nebulizers And cryoapplicators . The latter are preferable, because you can select attachments of suitable shape and size to prevent damage to healthy tissue. Cryo-sprayers, operating on the principle of atomizers, are not without this drawback. The devices operate on the basis of liquid nitrogen, which creates a temperature of about -196 °C at the end of the nozzle.

Laser therapy in oncology. The unusual properties of optical quantum generators (lasers): high radiation density, strict directionality, and the ability to focus the beam - have made it possible to use them in oncology. The mechanism of action of laser radiation has not been thoroughly studied, but it has been established that when it is exposed to biological objects, thermal, ultrasonic, electrochemical, photochemical and other effects occur. Morphological studies have established that along the path of the beam, changes occur in the tissues that resemble electrocoagulation necrosis. To accumulate the effects of laser radiation, vital dyes are used. The most pronounced antitumor effect was observed when using a laser in combination with cytostatic drugs and radiation therapy.

Ultrasound therapy

The primacy of the use of ultrasound in oncology belongs to Nanger and Kavasisi (1934), who noticed a slowdown and, in some cases, the disappearance of tumors under the influence of ultrasound in an experiment. When exposed to high-intensity ultrasound, metabolic processes in cells are disrupted to the point of complete cessation, tissue fluid is ionized, tissue respiration decreases or stops. This was used for the treatment of ultrasound malignant tumors. Currently, therapeutic ultrasound installations and ultrasound scales have already been created. There are attempts to cure lip, skin, and larynx cancer with this method, but there is still very little clinical material.

Radiation treatment of malignant tumors

Radiation therapy has firmly entered into oncological practice, being one of the leading methods of antitumor therapy. It is used both as a stand-alone method and in combination with surgical and chemotherapy methods. In relation to the surgical method, it can be preoperative , intraoperative And postoperative . Irradiation may be external (close-focus, when the source is located at a distance of 1.5-25 cm from the irradiation surface; long-distance at a distance of 30 cm to 4 m and contact, when the radiation source is on the irradiated surface) and internal. External irradiation is carried out using X-ray and telegamma installations, a betatron, a cyclotron, and a linear accelerator.

Internal exposure occurs interstitial And intracavitary . In the first case, the source is in a tumor or wound after its removal, in the second - in a cavity, for example, the maxillary cavity.

If external and interstitial irradiation is used in one patient, then we are talking about combined radiation therapy. For example, a patient with tongue root cancer underwent remote gamma therapy. At the end of the course, radioactive needles are inserted into the residual tumor.

The choice of irradiation method depends on the location, stage of the process, treatment regimen for the patient (isolated radiation therapy or combined treatment).

The use of radiation therapy in the treatment of malignant tumors is based on its damaging effect on tumor cells. Immediately after irradiation, inhibition of cell mitotic activity is observed. The extent of this phenomenon depends on the dose. If it is large enough, the cell dies immediately (“death by ray”). If the damaged cell survives, then after several generations it, due to mutations, can give rise to viable tumor cells (mitotic or reproductive death). Some cells do not die immediately after irradiation, but upon entering the period between divisions (interphase), therefore such death is called interphase. In any case, the cause of death of malignant tumor cells during radiation therapy is damage to their chromosomal apparatus.

It should be taken into account that cells in a state of hypoxia are less radiosensitive, i.e. a large dose of radiation is required to destroy them. A very important factor is the degree of damaging radiation reaction from the cell's life cycle. Most proliferating cells are radiosensitive during and immediately after mitosis. Non-proliferating cells are very low radiosensitive and easily repair damage, giving rise to new cells. Since cells in a tumor node are in different periods of the life cycle, it is almost impossible to guarantee the destruction of 100% of malignant cells. In addition, the radiation dose is limited by the tolerance of the intact tissue surrounding the tumor. If tolerance is exceeded, radionecrosis of the skin, cartilage, and bones occurs. This determines the need for fractionation of the total focal (course) dose. Typically, the patient receives 2-2.5 grams per session daily for 4-6 weeks. SOD during the preoperative course is 40-45 g; with a radical radiation program, when no further treatment is provided, SOD increases to 60-70 g.

In addition to the noted complications, patients experience radioepithelitis, trophic ulcers, general weakness, loss of appetite, headaches and dizziness, leukopenia and lymphopenia, thrombocytopenia. Therefore, constant monitoring of the state of peripheral blood and correction by prescribing hemostimulating drugs, transfusion of blood and its components, prescribing vitamins, detoxification therapy, and symptomatic treatment are required.

Chemotherapy for malignant tumors

Complements surgical and radiation treatment methods. It is used as an independent method when it is impossible to radically cure the patient. Currently, more than 0.5 million chemotherapy drugs have been synthesized. About 50 have been selected for clinical use. Their action is based on selective sensitivity to tumor cell preparations. Cytostatics block individual parts of the biochemical mechanisms of cell growth and division. Some drugs block the metabolic processes of amino acids (methotrexate), RNA and DNA (fluorouracil), the synthesis of pyrimidine nucleotides, disrupt protein metabolism, inhibit mitosis, cause chromosomal changes and cell death (colhamin). The larger the tumor, the less effective chemotherapy is. The selective sensitivity of modern chemotherapy drugs is insufficient.

Antitumor drugs are combined into several groups:

- alkylating, which replace the hydrogen atom in the tumor cell, disrupting its vital activity (cisplatin);

-antimetabolites- are inhibitors of cellular enzymes (methoxate);

- alkaloids(herbal preparations) - lead to denaturation of cellular proteins and arrest of mitosis (vincristine, obtained from rose periwinkle);

- antitumor antibiotics- waste products of fungi - suppress the synthesis of nucleic acids (olivomycin);

- hormonal drugs- steroid hormones, penetrating into cell nuclei, disrupt the synthesis of nucleic acids.

When treating with one chemotherapy drug, they talk about monochemotherapy, several - polychemotherapy. To administer chemotherapy drugs into the body, oral, intravenous, intra-arterial regional, and endolymphatic routes are used.

The following complications are observed during chemotherapy: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, stomatitis, alopecia, hemorrhagic syndrome, anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, hepatitis, nephritis, dermatitis.

Prevention and treatment of complications as with radiation therapy.

Contraindications to chemotherapy: severe exhaustion of the patient, dissemination of the tumor process, especially with metastases to the brain, liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, initial inhibition of hematopoiesis (less than 3 thousand leukocytes, 100 thousand platelets), pathology of the cardiovascular system, active tuberculosis, significant tumor size.

Because etiology of malignant neoplasms remains unclear, various treatments are aimed at. various pathogenetic links of the tumor process. Taken separately, existing methods of antitumor therapy do not provide a lasting clinical effect in most cases, the reasons for which were discussed above. Therefore, at present, schemes of combined and complex treatment of patients are most widely used, which allows one to obtain better long-term results. The combination of two types of antitumor therapy is called combined treatment, all three types are called complex. The sequence and types of treatment used are selected individually.

Symptomatic treatment

Symptomatic treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms is carried out in approximately 23.3% of cases (clinical group IV) for the primary diagnosis of advanced cancer, and approximately the same number transfers to clinical group IV during treatment. Thus, about 50% of patients with malignant tumors require symptomatic treatment. These patients are not subject to special treatment and care for them is entrusted to doctors of the general medical network (dental oncology patients are supervised by dental surgeons of polyclinics).

Goal of symptomatic treatment - alleviation of the patient’s suffering and some prolongation of his life. This requires pathogenetic treatment. When the tumor process is advanced, there is a protein deficiency in the body, leading to a decrease in the protective functions of the liver. Carbohydrate metabolism is disrupted towards anaerobic glycolysis. Energy starvation sets in. Violation of water-electrolyte metabolism leads to water retention in tissues and the appearance of edema. Hemoglobin regeneration slows down, circulating blood volume decreases (indirect signs: bradycardia, hypotension, pallor, decreased basal metabolism). Increasing intoxication leads to loss of appetite, increased fatigue, and apathy.

In the treatment of incurable patients, it is necessary to use detoxification agents, blood transfusions, plasma or red blood cells, B vitamins, ascorbic acid, anabolic hormones (nerobol, testosterone), lipotropic agents (lipocaine, choline, methionine), and to stimulate the body's defenses the following are indicated: pyrogenal, zymosan, dibazole, ginseng, eleutherocoea, pantocrine, painkillers.

Not a single person in the world is immune from injury. At home, at work, in the park – you can get injured anywhere. Often a bruise or insect bite is accompanied by swelling of soft tissues. Usually the swelling subsides after a few days, and in severe cases this time can last up to 2 weeks. But what to do if the tumor appears after an injury on the face or other prominent place? In these cases, you can speed up the process so that it goes faster. How to remove swelling from various types of injuries, this article will tell.

Cause

To figure out how to remove a tumor, you must first find out why it occurs.

Such an injury is characterized by damage to organs or tissues without serious damage to integrity.

The injury is characterized by:

  • pain;
  • swelling;
  • bruise;
  • swelling at the site of injury.

And a common cause of tumor is an insect bite.

Only a doctor can determine the type of injury. Therefore, after a bruise, it is best to consult a doctor to rule out a fracture.

If the elbow is bruised, it must be fixed in a bent position. This is done to reduce strain and swelling.

A tumor on the legs grows quickly and takes a very long time to go away. This is due to the fact that the legs bear the entire weight load from the body. Therefore, to remove tumors of the lower extremities, it is necessary to carry out complex treatment.

  • First you need to give your leg an elevated position and ensure complete rest. Then cold is applied to the site of the injury. Thermal procedures can be carried out only 3 days after the injury. A mesh of iodine will help relieve the swelling a little.
  • If the foot is swollen, apply compresses from mashed wormwood herb or apply lotions from mountain arnica. This herb is mixed with water in equal proportions. Then a bandage is dipped into this solution and applied to the affected area. After 3 days after the injury, foot baths with the addition of St. John's wort or yarrow will help relieve swelling.
  • If swelling occurs in the lower leg area, an ointment, for example, Troxevasin, will help.
  • If the bruise was in the knee area and it is very swollen, you can use Diclofenac ointment. It will help relieve inflammation and swelling. If the pain does not go away and the swelling does not subside, you should visit a medical facility to clarify the diagnosis.

Swelling after an insect bite

  1. it is necessary to remove the sting. At the same time, you should know that bees leave a sting, but wasps do not;
  2. rinse the bite site with water;
  3. neutralize the poison from bee or wasp stings. After all, it is the poison that causes the tumor. To neutralize bee venom, you should use potassium permanganate or ammonia. If you are bitten by a wasp, juice of onion, lemon or a slice of cucumber will help neutralize the poison.

If the tumor does not decrease and the pain does not go away, you should not continue to self-medicate. It is necessary to urgently consult a doctor for consultation and further treatment.
