Strepsils goes well with a variety of painkillers and antipyretics.

Microsomal oxidation inducers (tricyclic antidepressants, phenylbutazone, phenytoin, rifampicin, barbiturates, ethanol) increase the production of active hydroxylated metabolites.

Reduces the effect of antihypertensive, uricosuric and diuretic drugs, enhances the effectiveness of anticoagulants (increases the risk of bleeding), fibrinolytics, antiplatelet agents, has a hypoglycemic effect of sulfonylurea derivatives, side effects estrogens, mineral and GCS.

The drug increases the blood levels of methotrexate, lithium.

Contraindications

Strepsils has the following contraindications:

hypersensitivity to components;
acute phase of gastric ulcer;
rhinitis and bronchial asthma against the background of the use of cetylsalicylic acid or other types of NSAIDs;
deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects

Side effects are mainly associated with a distortion of taste sensations and elements of paresthesia (tingling, tingling or burning). In some cases, sores may appear on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity.
